COLONIAL ANTIGUA AND ITS SURROUNDINGS

Colonial City, surrounded by Agua, Fuego and Acatenango Volcanoes; famous for its architecture with baroque facades from the New World, as well as a great number of spectacular churches and ruins; designed Patrimony of the Humanity by UNESCO since 1979. Without a doubt, it is a beautiful city to know where you can visit the diverse towns of the surroundings, where you learn their interesting history and the particularities of each place, such as: Ciudad Vieja, San Antonio Aguas Calientes (Textile’s Museum and El mirador -The Viewpoint-), San Miguel Dueñas (Macadamia nut), La Azotea and San Juan del Obispo.
We continue with the itinerary, visiting the following churches in Antigua: La Merced, Cathedral, San Francisco (where is buried the Holy Brother Pedro), with its respective museums and we finish it, in the Jade and Silver Factory.

GUATEMALA CITY

GUATEMALA: Republic of Central America, in which were developed several cultures, mainly the Mayan Civilization. Its ecological and cultural diversity, establish it like one of the most attractive tourist areas in the region. Its topography makes that it variety of sceneries and weather, therefore, an abundant flora and fauna richness. We visit the majestic National Palace, The Relief Map, Metropolitan Cathedral and Civic Center. Immediately, we go to the interesting Archaeological and Ethnological Museums and the Handicraft Market.

ATITLAN LAKE

We go out to visit one of the most beautiful lakes of Guatemala, surrounded by the majestic Atitlan, Toliman and San Pedro volcanoes, offering an amazing landscape, which makes it a natural jewel. We will sail by the lake, in order to visit Santiago Atitlan, where you can see and participate in the different activities of the daily life of its inhabitants. In the afternoon you come back to Antigua Guatemala.

CHICHICASTENANGO

We go to the indigenous high plateau, where we will visit Santo Tomas Church and the colorful market of Chichicastenango. At half morning, we will leave to Lake Atitlan, where you can enjoy of an incredible view of the lake, surrounded of majestic volcanoes. In the afternoon, we come back to Antigua Guatemala.

IXIMCHe

We depart to visit the archeological site and Mayan ceremonial center nearer to the city, located in the town of Tecpan Guatemala, department of Chimaltenango.

TIKAL

We go to the Airport where we depart to Flores, Peten. In Flores, there we will get land transportation, which will lead us to the National Park of Tikal and start the itinerary by the archaeological site; doubtless, it is the best exponent of the Mayan civilization. We have time to take the lunch in the park; then we go to the Airport to come back to Guatemala City, finishing with the shuttle to Antigua Guatemala.

COPaN

Considered the Mayan World in Central America, where you will visit several Mayan temples, unique by its antique culture and sublime nature. You will sleep there and the next day in the morning you come back to Guatemala City.

COPaN/ RiO/ TIKAL (3 dias)

We go away to the archaeological site considered as “ Archeological Patrimony of the Humanity” since 1980. Immediately, we head for Rio Dulce, one of the first protected areas from Guatemala since 1955, which is located in the department of Izabal, between Lake Izabal and Amatique Bay. Subsequently, we will get to Tikal, the largest Mayan city, where we will visit each one of the Mayan temples. You will have time for lunch and finally we will come back to Guatemala City. Then, shuttle to Antigua.

PACAYA VOLCANO

We go out to the most visited active volcano of Guatemala. The hiking will be approximately one hour and a half, time during you can observe the wonderful flora of our country. It is an unforgettable experience
